Choosing the right spunlace fabric starts with understanding your end product's performance requirements. The three most important variables are material composition(100% viscose vs viscose-polyester blend), GSM (fabric weight), and surface pattern (plain, pearl, mesh, embossed).
For skin-contact products like baby wipes and medical prep pads, 100% viscose at 50-70 gsm provides the softness and biocompatibility required. For industrial wiping where strength matters more than softness, a viscose-polyester blend at 35-80 gsm on our direct-laid lines delivers higher wet strength at a lower cost. For flushable wipes, only wet-laid spunlace on our L5 line can meet GD4 dispersibility requirements.
